Annual Appeals, Offertory Programs, and More

Though not always the most pleasant topic when considering the needs of a church or diocese, the reality of fund raising cannot be ignored. Financial demands are ever-present, and a thriving ministry requires a solid fund raising campaign. Bannon has successfully offered assistance in the area of annual appeal, via the following methods:

• Offertory Programs & Refresher Workshops - Our Offertory Program is not only competitively priced, but it is designed so that the parish can implement it in future years without paying additional fees. As pastors and committee members change, the parish can request a Refresher Workshop for a reasonable fee.
  (average first year increase= over 20%)
• Time, Talent, and Treasure Programs - The Time, Talent, and Treasure Program is intended to follow one or two years' utilization of the Offertory Program. It encompasses a comprehensive format of volunteer management, as well as a renewal of offertory commitments.

  (average offertory increase= 10%, provided parish has completed Offertory Program within past two years)
• Annual Appeals Program - The Annual Appeals Program generates new and often unregistered contributors. Our model has been particularly successful within Hispanic communities.

• Feasibility Studies - We conduct Feasibility Studies for both capital campaigns and Annual Appeals. In the case of Annual Appeals, these studies emphasize analysis of existing solicitation practices, campaign mechanics, parish involvement, pledge processing, etc. This approach has proven itself effective beyond those which focus on estimates of individual prospect gifts.
• Workshop Development & Implementation - We develop and present educational workshops for pastors, parish and diocesan pastoral councils, finance committees, and other leadership groups.
